In short

What an event & location video at null3null is

An event & location video is the highlight video of your event or your new location: atmosphere, peaks and people in 60 to 120 seconds, cut for website, invitation and social media. null3null shoots at conferences, trade fairs, location launches and corporate events in Berlin; Öykü Bargan and Nils Grinbergs are behind the camera on the shoot day themselves and build the edit afterwards. null3null delivers the video in the format that fits your use, 16:9, 9:16 or both from the same shoot; on request a short recap cut for follow-up coverage and social comes in beforehand. The delivery date is fixed before the shoot. The price is a project price on request; what determines it (event length, team size on the shoot day, number of cuts) is explained in the questions below and in the first conversation.

Whoever shoots at the event sits at the edit afterwards: the same two people, no handover to a post-production house

The format is set in the briefing: 16:9, 9:16 or both from the same shoot, plus an early recap cut on request

The challenge

When the event is over and nothing of it remains

A full house, a good mood, strong moments. And afterwards just a few shaky phone clips. No material for the next invitation, nothing for the sponsorship deck, nothing for social. That’s the gap an event & location video closes.

Service in detail

What you hold in your hands after the event

From the event day to the finished package: the main cut in your format, plus vertical cuts for social posting on request, cuts to pass on and stills for the press. All exports belong to you.

Main cut
The highlight video of 60 to 120 seconds: arrivals, a full room, stage moments, faces: cut to music, with sound mix and colour grading. It runs on your website and on YouTube, opens the invitation to the next edition and goes with the next sponsorship deck.
Recap cut for social, on request
An optional early add-on: vertical cuts in 9:16 for reels, stories and TikTok, finished before the main cut, so you can post while attendees still have your channel in mind: for the thank-you post, the follow-up coverage and the posts where guests tag you.
Sponsor & speaker cuts
Short excerpts per partner or speaker, made to be passed on: their own appearance, their own logo in the room. Sponsors share a clip like that on their own channels and extend your event’s reach; in the next sponsorship conversation it’s your evidence instead of a slide.
Photo stills from the footage
Selected stills taken straight from the video material, for press release, website and internal follow-up. The stills come from the same takes as the video and are part of the handover, not an extra invoice.

Included with every event & location video

  • Format to your choice, delivery date agreed before the shoot; recap cut on request beforehand
  • Edit, sound mix and colour grading at our own edit desk
  • Licensed music for the channels the video runs on
  • Handover in the agreed format, usage rights included; 9:16 on request in addition

Process

How your event & location video comes together

  1. 01

    1. Briefing

Before the event we clarify the run of show and the key moments: keynote, award handover, a packed floor, and the detail that sets your event apart from others. You tell us who and what must stay out of frame, and name a contact person for the event day. By the end of the briefing, shoot scope, music direction, the format you want and the delivery date are set; if you also want an early recap cut, we settle that here too.

  2. 02

    2. Shoot on the event day

Öykü and Nils are in the room themselves with camera and sound: stage, audience, conversations on the sidelines and the short soundbites that later carry the video. We work compact and without rigs that block guests’ view; your programme runs on undisturbed. Your only job that day: keep the contact person reachable.

  3. 03

    3. Edit

After the event we edit the main cut with music, sound mix, colour grading and pacing; if a recap cut is part of the booking, we build that first so it can go out early. You get the cut for sign-off and collect your feedback in one go; how many revision rounds are included is stated in the offer beforehand.

  4. 04

    4. Handover

You get all exports sorted by channel: the main cut in the agreed format, plus the sponsor and speaker cuts to pass on and the stills for the press; if a recap cut was part of the booking, that already reached you earlier. There’s nothing left for you to re-cut, and the usage rights sit with you.

Why video

Why an aftermovie does double duty and why null3null

An aftermovie does double duty: it holds on to the moment and sells the next edition or the new location. Anyone who sees a full room, stage moments and faces in motion understands in seconds why they want to be there next time; no written recap delivers that. So the video’s work doesn’t end with the first post: it opens the invitation to the follow-up edition, runs on the registration page and gives the sponsorship deck the material a slide doesn’t have.

At null3null, whoever shot the event cuts it: whoever stood in the room on the event day knows the material and builds the edit from it. No freelancer seeing the raw footage for the first time weeks later, no post-production house that knows the evening only from file names. Before the agency, we both worked as employees in marketing teams, with stints at Ableton, Boiler Room and Universal Music, among others, employers, not clients. At Boiler Room, Öykü worked on live stream production and content for the sets; there is no second try there. The benchmark from those years: live moments don’t repeat. An event shoot only has the first take, and no keynote runs a second time for the camera.

Three things are not an aftermovie here: the twenty-minute event documentary, the full-length talk recording and the livestream. An aftermovie condenses; if you need the complete keynote, you need a different product, and we say so in the first conversation. And if your event has no follow-up edition and the video would only end up in the archive, we advise against it before you spend budget.

FAQ

Questions about the event & location video

What does an event & location video cost?

We name the price on request, as a project price after the first conversation. Three drivers set it: the length of the event (one evening or three conference days), the team size on the shoot day and the number of cuts, from the recap cut to the sponsor clips. A half-day company event with one main cut is a smaller production than a multi-day conference with speaker and sponsor cuts; a flat fee would misprice one of them. After the first conversation you get an assessment with a price frame and the shoot scope it takes.

How quickly is the event & location video ready?

How fast depends on the shoot scope and the agreed format. We fix the delivery date before the shoot, not after, so you know at booking which date the video lands. Want an early recap cut for social posting too? We deliver that beforehand, while the main cut is still going through sound mix and colour grading.

Do we also get vertical versions for social media?

Yes, on request: we shoot so that 16:9 for website and YouTube and 9:16 for reels, stories and TikTok can both be cut from the same material. The vertical isn’t a cropped edge but a separate edit; tell us in the briefing which format or combination you need. If you want the clips played out regularly afterwards, social media content takes that over; if the video should bring in registrations for the next edition, social media ads can run it.

How does the music work?

We license the music for the channels the video runs on; the licence costs are in the offer, not in an invoice afterwards. The direction is discussed in the briefing, so the edit matches the mood of your event. Well-known chart hits are laborious and expensive to license for corporate videos; as a rule we work with catalogue music that exists for exactly this purpose.

Are we even allowed to film our guests?

The usual approach at corporate events: a note in the invitation and registration and a sign at the entrance that filming is taking place. Whether that’s enough for your event is a question for your data-protection advisor. The people and areas that must stay out of frame are settled in the briefing; on the event day we stick to that. Anyone who steps in front of the camera individually and recognisably, for a soundbite for example, gives us their consent right on set.

How many people stand in the room with cameras on the event day?

Usually two: we shoot ourselves, mobile and with gear that can be carried, instead of fixed camera islands in the audience. That’s how we get stage, audience and soundbites without your event feeling like a film set. For multi-day conferences with parallel stages we plan more crew; that’s discussed in the briefing and priced in the offer.

Do you also film multi-day events, location launches or outside Berlin?

Yes, all of it. null3null is based at Strausberger Platz in Berlin-Friedrichshain; at a Berlin event you pay neither travel nor hotel nights, and we know the city’s locations. For events elsewhere we work nationwide; travel costs are agreed in advance, before you sign. Multi-day formats get a shooting schedule per day; the event length is one of the three price drivers, and the number of cuts stays your decision.

What’s the difference between an event & location video and a brand film?

An event & location video tells one specific event or new location; a brand film tells your business, independent of any occasion. The event & location video holds on to the atmosphere, peaks and people of one day and promotes the follow-up edition; the brand film runs permanently on the website, in sales and at trade fairs. Both come from the same craft but pursue different goals; which format makes sense first is settled in the first conversation.

Next step

Send us the date and setting of your event

Tell us what kind of event or location opening is coming up, how many guests are expected and what the video should do for you afterwards. You’ll get an assessment of shoot scope, format and price frame; the delivery date is agreed before we shoot. The inquiry commits you to nothing; whether it turns into an offer is your call after the first conversation.
