In short

What a brand film at null3null is

A brand film tells your business in video: as a short website loop that starts playing when your homepage loads, or as a longer version with interview soundbites for sales, trade fairs and the about page. Both come from one project; the range depends on the scope of the shoot, and you get the concrete numbers in the first conversation. Concept, shoot and edit sit with Öykü Bargan and Nils Grinbergs themselves; there is no production company in between.

The challenge

When your website doesn’t show what’s really there

A stock-photo hero instead of real video. A brand film that looks like every other one because it recites claims instead of showing the business. Yet the substance is there: machines, skilled hands, people who know what they’re doing. We shoot the film that makes it visible: with your people, at your site, without memorised marketing lines.

Service in detail

What we produce for you

Four formats, one process: concept and script first, then shoot and edit, and at the end the handover of all files. What each format is for and where it runs:

Website loop
The short video at the top of your homepage. It has to work without sound and show within seconds what happens at your company: the shop floor, the handiwork, the result. We cut it as a loop that repeats without drawing attention to itself, and deliver it compressed enough not to slow your page down.
Brand film
The longer form for everything a website loop can’t tell: interview soundbites from leadership and team, real workflows, the place where it all happens. The brand film backs up sales meetings and trade-fair appearances and runs permanently on the about page and on YouTube. One film, many places to use it.
Product video
Your product in use instead of as a data sheet: we show how it works, who uses it and where the difference shows, with close-ups a product page alone can’t deliver. For product pages, sales meetings and trade fairs.
Longform & short-form
The main film runs in landscape for your website. On request we also cut 9:16 versions for reels and stories from the same material: not a cropped edge but a separate edit for vertical.

Included with every format

  • Concept and script as a document you sign off before the shoot
  • Shoot with lighting, sound and interview direction at your site
  • Edit, sound mix and colour grading at our own edit desk
  • Delivery in 16:9 plus shorter cutdowns, 9:16 on request
  • you get all exports, usage rights included

Process

How a brand film project runs

  1. 01

    1. Briefing

It starts with a conversation: what should the film achieve, who will see it, where will it run? And what is there to show at your company: rooms, machines, people, workflows? Afterwards you get an assessment of the scope that takes and where you land in the range.

  2. 02

    2. Concept & script

We write concept and script and send you both as a document: the idea, the through-line, the planned scenes, the shooting schedule. You approve or change things before the camera rolls. At this stage a change is a sentence in a document, after the shoot it would be an extra shoot day.

  3. 03

    3. Shoot

On the shoot day, Öykü and Nils are on set themselves: lighting, sound, camera, interview direction. Your part: access to the business and time for the people who’ll be on camera. Nobody has to recite lines; we ask questions and later cut the best answers. In Berlin we shoot without travel costs; outside the city we agree on travel costs in advance.

  4. 04

    4. Post-production & delivery

We edit, mix the sound and do the colour grade. You get a cut for approval; how many revision rounds are included is stated in the offer beforehand. Once you approve, we export the film in landscape plus shorter cutdowns and hand over every file; on request we also cut vertical 9:16 versions, for social media, ads or mobile websites.

Why video

Why a brand film pays off and why null3null

A homepage has one short moment to make clear where a visitor has landed and whether staying is worth it. A short website loop settles that faster than any text, because it shows the business instead of describing it: the shop floor, the handiwork, the people. Whether the video convinces doesn’t hang on the camera brand. It hangs on whether there’s something real to see.

At null3null, video is the core business, not a bought-in add-on: we conceive, shoot and edit ourselves, no chain of video freelancer and social agency working past each other. Before the agency, we both spent several years in marketing teams, with stints at Ableton, Boiler Room and Universal Music, among others, as employees, not as clients of null3null. The benchmark from those years: a film has to hold an audience that can click away at any second.

Three things we don’t do: shoots without a script, because they produce expensive footage but no film. Stock-photo people pretending to work at your company. And ten-minute films that try to show everything; better one clear film with one message that someone watches to the end.

FAQ

Questions about the brand film

What does a brand film cost?

A brand film at null3null has no list price: we calculate per project, and we name the concrete range in the first conversation, together with the scope it takes. Four drivers move the price: the number of shoot days, the number of locations, the number of interviews and the scope of post-production (colour grading, animations, music licences, additional cuts). A short website loop with one shoot day costs less than a multi-part brand film with several locations; the principle stays the same, the numbers depend on the project.

How long does the production take?

We fix the schedule at the start of the project: delivery dates for script, cut and final film are set before the first shoot day. How long the whole stretch takes hangs on four time drivers: how quickly you sign off concept and script, how many shoot days are planned, when your people have time for the shoot, and how many revision rounds the edit needs. The biggest lever is in your hands: fast approvals shorten every phase.

What’s the difference between the website loop and the brand film?

The website loop is the short, soundless video at the top of your website; the longer version works with interview soundbites and has its place in sales meetings, at the trade-fair stand and on the about page. You don’t necessarily have to choose: both come out of the same project, and both formats can be cut from one shoot. What makes sense first is something we sort out in the briefing.

What do we need to prepare for the shoot?

Not much: access to your business, a few people who’ll show what they do, and one person on your side who decides approvals. You don’t need a finished script. We write that; nobody needs camera experience either, because we ask questions instead of having people recite lines. What helps: clarifying in advance which areas may be shown and who wants to be on camera.

Do you film our people, or does it take actors?

We film your people; a brand film almost never needs actors. The people who do the work explain it best, so on set we lead with questions and later cut the strongest answers. Anyone who doesn’t want to be on camera doesn’t have to be: a film also works through hands, machines and workflows.

Do you also shoot outside Berlin?

Yes. null3null is based at Strausberger Platz in Berlin-Friedrichshain and shoots mainly in and around Berlin; a shoot in the city costs you neither travel nor hotel nights. For projects further afield we work nationwide and agree on travel costs in advance: they go in the offer, not into the invoice after the fact.

What do you deliver at the end, and who owns the material?

You get the finished film in landscape for website and YouTube, plus shorter cutdowns, and all files are yours afterwards. On request we also cut 9:16 versions for reels and stories from the same material. You’re free to use the material as you like: on the website, in sales, on your channels. And if the film should keep filling your channels afterwards, we take that over with social media content.

Next step

Tell us what the film should show

Öykü or Nils reads your inquiry and replies with an assessment: which format fits your goal, what scope it takes and what the project costs. No obligation, no cost; whether it turns into an offer is your call after the first conversation.
