Video and social media by industry
In short
What this cluster is about
Which video format works depends on your industry, not on the latest trend. A trades business needs different footage than a gallery or a manufacturing company. Every industry article in this cluster shows three formats that genuinely carry weight for that field.
Why industry comes before format
A brand film with sweeping camera moves and heavy colour grading works differently in a gallery than it does on a construction site, and a short workshop reel behaves differently for a trades business than for a manufacturing company with long lead times. That's why we ask about the industry first with every new client, and about the format second. Book a video because it's trending, without checking whether it fits the actual work, and you end up with footage that doesn't belong to the business. A brand film for a trades business needs dust, tools and real hands. A brand film for a gallery needs space, light and the work itself. Both are called the same thing, and they look completely different once the industry is factored in. That's why every industry article in this cluster starts not with a shot list, but with the question of what actually happens in that industry, before a single shot gets planned.
The difference shows most clearly in comparison: a gallery in Mitte runs on stillness, light and distance from the work, a roofing business in Spandau runs on speed, hands-on effort and visible graft. Put either one in the other's format and it feels off, a fast-cut edit disrupts the art, a slow, steady pan wastes the actual effort on a construction site. That's why every shoot gets built around what matters in that industry, not around a fixed template.
What every industry has in common
Still, every industry we work with shares three things: people, work and a place. Someone stands behind every result, whether that's a finished gutter, a machine starting up, or an exhibition opening its doors. Something gets visibly done in the process, a hand movement, a process, preparation nobody else usually sees. And all of it happens somewhere specific: a workshop, a production hall, an exhibition space. People, work, place, that's the shared core every industry's formats get built from. Whether that ends up as a product video, an event film or ongoing social media management depends on how those three elements come together in that particular field. Once you know these three elements for your own industry, you usually already know which format will work first, before a single quote gets written.
Industry, goal and format at a glance
The table below covers four industries: what they're usually trying to achieve, and which format makes the biggest difference first. Full articles already exist for trades and construction and for arts and culture, with more industries following in this cluster.
| Industry | Typical goal | Format that works first | Service page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trades and construction | Jobs and hiring | Brand film with workshop and team | Brand film |
| Manufacturing and engineering | Trust with business clients | Product video of a production line or machine | Product video |
| Arts and culture | Visibility for an exhibition or programme | Trailer as a short brand film | Social media content |

This cluster grows with every industry we cover. Trades and construction, as well as arts and culture, already have full articles, manufacturing and engineering plus music will follow with their own.
